Delhi

Finally! A blog!
It's my first time at this, so I make no guarantees as to its quality or legibility :)

Delhi...

First stop in India and quite an experience.
Knowing Delhi wasn't the best place to be, I booked the earliest flight I could get to Goa, to take some time out on the beaches and decide exactly what I was going to do in India.
I arrived at midnight and needed to be at the domestic airport at 11.
I waited in the airport until about 4am then decided to see what I could of Delhi until 11am!

Not much was open, but India gate was suggested to me, so I took a cab and went on my way.

Delhi @ 5am = Spiritual Indian music blasting around the city from speakers tied to trees, Indians doing their morning yoga and stray dogs (many diseased with tumors :( ) on the hunt for food.

I was surprised at the amount of people up at this hour... obviously the intense dust and pollution of the city that makes it hard to see anything before sunrise, doesn't bother them!

First experience being ripped off, and definitely one I'm sure most foreigners have, ( until they learn just how it works here!) was with a rickshaw driver who charged me around 3 times the price to visit Humayuns tomb!
The trip was short and sweet and had a bit of fun with my new found Australian friend who was taking the same flight to Goa.

Here are a few photos :)
